Welcome to Southend-On-Sea Borough Council's Internet payments service. You may make a variety of payments using this secure site with most major credit or debit cards (not Diners Card or American Express). The service is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Getting Ready to Pay

Please ensure that you have all the relevant account numbers, invoices or any other related documentation to hand as it is likely you will be asked for this information. You need to have a valid credit or debit card in order to make a payment. When ready Click Here or click the Quick Pay link on the left.

Your Account

Your payment will be posted to your account after it has been authorised and cleared, this is normally within 24 hours.

What may I pay?

You can make a payment for the following services using the Quick Pay link on the side bar:

  • Parking Fines with an OS reference
  • Parking Fines with an SS reference
  • Business Rates
  • Council Tax
  • Housing Rents
  • Housing Benefit Overpayments
  • Debtors on Invoice
  • Debtors on Account

Examples of payments to be made via the Debtors on Invoice option include the payment of invoices for Ground Rents, Moorings, Allotments and Home Care Charges. You must have a valid invoice number for these payments.

Payments made via the Debtors on Account option can only be used where you have an agreement to pay on account. You must have a valid customer number for these payments.

If you are unable to make a payment online, you can also make payments to the Council by post or telephone.

To pay over the phone please call the 24 hour automated payment line on 08702 406650. Calls to this number are charged at 1 pence per minute. There may also be additional charges incurred from your own telephone provider.

We encourage payment by Direct Debit as this is the most cost effective method for the Council. Please contact us for more information.

Security Information

All online card payments are protected by Secure Socket Layer (SSL) with an encryption key length of 128 bits, which is the highest level commercially available. Your payment card details are directly processed by Mastercard, and are not collected nor accessible by the Council.
